AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate (MLA-C02) prep

MLA-C02 is the updated AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate exam. It covers both traditional ML and foundation models: data preparation, model development, deployment and orchestration, and operating and securing ML and AI solutions, including agentic workflows. AWS is running it as a beta exam now; MLA-C01 is no longer offered in English.

How to prepare for MLA-C02 with TokIQ

TokIQ opens as an AI quiz. Tap Prepare for a certification, choose MLA-C02, and the app switches to exam prep. A few minutes a day, every day.

  1. 01

Pick the exam and your exam date

Choose the exam in the app and set the date you booked. No date yet? You get a 30-day plan. The app tells you how many questions a day keep you on track.

  2. 02

    Do the daily session

About 10 questions a day (you can choose 5, 10, 15 or 20). Missed questions come back the next day; questions you get right come back at growing intervals (1, 3, 7 days and longer). That is spaced repetition: you review just before you would forget.

  3. 03

    Read why, with the source

Every answer has an explanation in your language, and the question keeps the official English exam terms. Each question is built from the official exam guide and cites the official documentation page it is based on.

  4. 04

    Fix your weak domains

Accuracy is tracked per official exam domain. The daily session leans toward your weakest domain, and the Practice tab lets you drill any domain. Wrong answers collect in My mistakes for review.

  5. 05

    Watch your readiness score

After about 30 answers covering every domain, TokIQ estimates your readiness: your recent accuracy in each domain, weighted like the exam. It is an estimate to guide your study, not a prediction of your result.

  6. 06

    Take a timed mock exam

A full-length practice exam with a timer, mark-for-review and a result per task statement. Free accounts get one mock exam a week; Premium unlocks more.

TokIQ questions are original practice questions written from the public exam guide and official documentation. They are not real exam questions, and no practice app can promise a pass.

MLA-C02: common questions

What happened to MLA-C01?

AWS replaced it with MLA-C02. MLA-C01 in English was available through September 28, 2026; the Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese versions stay available until MLA-C02 reaches general availability. Certifications already earned stay valid for their full 3 years.

What is the MLA-C02 beta exam like?

The beta has 85 multiple-choice and multiple-response questions in 170 minutes, costs 75 USD (beta pricing) and is in English only. The general availability date has not been announced.

What score do I need to pass MLA-C02?

The exam guide reports results as a scaled score from 100 to 1,000 with a minimum passing score of 720. Beta exam results come later than usual, after AWS finishes the beta.

What is new in MLA-C02?

The four domains now cover foundation models and generative AI next to traditional ML: Amazon Bedrock, RAG, embeddings, agents and agentic workflows, and evaluation methods such as LLM-as-a-judge. AWS publishes a comparison of MLA-C01 and MLA-C02 in the exam guide.

Are TokIQ questions real MLA-C02 exam questions?

No. They are original practice questions written from the public MLA-C02 exam guide, and each one cites the official AWS documentation page it is based on.

How does TokIQ help me prepare for MLA-C02?

Pick the exam and your exam date, then do a short daily session (about 10 questions). Missed questions come back with spaced repetition, accuracy is tracked per official domain, a readiness score estimates how close you are, and timed mock exams let you practice under exam conditions. Explanations come in the language you choose from the app’s 40 languages.

Can TokIQ guarantee that I pass?

No. TokIQ shows how you are doing on practice questions and where to focus. The readiness score is an estimate from your own answers, not a prediction of your exam result. Combine it with the official training and documentation.
